Dr. Ali İlker Baştan is a pioneering figure in the field of laser dentistry. An implant dentistry specialist and oral surgeon, Baştan provides services at his practice on Bağdat Street in Istanbul.

Dr. Baştan completed his education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry and was the first physician to receive a master's degree in Oral Implantology from Yeditepe University. He completed this program with a thesis titled "Postoperative CT Evaluation of Implant Treatments Supported by Panoramic Radiographs in the Preoperative Period". Since then, he has been working intensively on dental implant surgery and implant-supported prosthetics. He later completed a mastership program in Laser Treatment Applications in Dentistry, a collaboration between RWTH Aachen University and Bezmialem University. This program included a detailed curriculum on laser physics, safety, and usage, covering the clinical indications and applications of laser wavelengths used in dentistry, as well as their theoretical and biophysical backgrounds.

Dr. Initially, following this program, he successfully completed his doctoral program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ondokuz Mayıs University and received the title of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. His doctoral dissertation was titled "Evaluation of stress distribution of dental implants with different numbers and designs for single tooth replacement under functional and parafunctional forces using finite element analysis method."
